HortiMaX appoints new managing director
Hans Roosken has been appointed the new managing director of HortiMaX Holding B.V. as of January 2010. HortiMaX Holding B.V. consists of the HortiMaX offices in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Great Britain and Spain, and Dutch installation contractor Montera Techniek B.V.. Hans Roosken will succeed Peter den Biesen, who has fulfilled the role of managing director since 31 March 2008.
HortiMaX takes over Oloïd AG
On 1 January 2008, HortiMaX acquired the assets of Oloïd AG. As a result, Oloïds are now sold through HortiMaX Belgium.
Essent completes takeover of Westland
Essent has completed its takeover of Westland Energie Services (WES), the Dutch energy company. Essent announced on 31st May, however, that the takeover would not affect services to Westland and HortiMaX clients.
HortiMaX CO2 OptiMizer nominated for the Horti Fair Innovation Award 2006
The CO2 Optimizer software calculates the economic optimum level of CO2 enrichment at any point during the day. HortiMaX developed this control software for the MultiMa climate computer in co-operation with the Glasshouse Horticulture Department of Wageningen University.
HortiMaX launches wireless P-Plus terminal
HortiMaX BV has launched a wireless terminal for a new sweet pepper harvesting system. This terminal can be attached to a harvesting trolley and uses a wireless network to connect to the P-Plus Labour and Production Registration System.
ProDrain user group to be led by Applied Plant Research (PPO)
A PPO-led user group has been set up to record the effects registered by the ProDrain system and study how these data can be used to improve glasshouse climate control.
HortiMaX enters into exclusive partnership with SELECT400
HortiMaX has recently entered into an exclusive partnership with SELECT400. SELECT400 is now HortiMaX’s preferred supplier of all of its ICT solutions.
A 48-lamp VitaLite
A 48-lamp VitaLite was recently put into operation at the Canadian propagation nursery Ontario Plants. This VitaLite is equipped with 48 UVc lamps which are switched on using special electronic starters.
P-Plus interfaced with Metazet sweet pepper shuttle system
HortiMaX has been awarded a contract to interface the P-Plus Labour and Harvest Registration System to the harvesting system developed by Metazet. The client is Dutch nursery 'Kwekerij Berg Peppers V.O.F.', owned Piet en Richard van den Berg.

De klimaatcomputers MultiMa en Clima 500 van HortiMaX zijn geschikt gemaakt om de verschillende typen OCAP afleverstations aan te kunnen sturen. Deze afleverstations kunnen uitgerust zijn met een regelbare doseerklep of open-dicht klep.
Robert Koot - Niriko - about the FertiFill: 'Fully automatic fertiliser dosing and quick recipe switching'
HortiMaX has installed a FertiFill in the new 12.5-acre rose nursery 'Niriko' in Nieuwveen, the Netherlands. This system, which consists of a dosing computer and a filling system fully automatically doses up to 15 liquid fertilisers, including trace elements, using up to five reactor vessels in 1 to 20 fertiliser tanks.
Frank Groenwegen - Greenbrothers - about P-Plus: 'P-Plus proves its value in quality control'
Aubergine growing business 'Greenbrother' has a 15-acre site in Zevenbergen, the Netherlands, and has been using the P-Plus labour and harvest registration system since 1998.
HortiMaX launches industrial wireless network for P-Plus
In cooperation with various suppliers, HortiMaX has designed an industrial wireless network for P-Plus which is particularly suitable for mobile applications in the horticultural sector.
